It’s time to start planning that summer vacation, but where to go? For the outdoorsy person, there are wonderful destinations waiting for you to explore and enjoy!


Australia is a huge place with plenty of hiking or other travelling opportunities as well as shopping meccas in Sydney and Melbourne. Sydney offers a host of outdoor sports and activities from beaches, water sports, golf, outdoor sports, parks and gardens, scenic and natural wonders, as well as a host of other options.


Hike in the rain forest while you still can! If you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, the beaches in and around Copacabana are some of the most beautiful in the world.

British Columbia:

Many travellers who visit British Columbia and Vancouver find adventure awaits them around every turn. From Vancouver, it is easy to travel to Victoria or Granville Island for a more adventurous vacation, or head up to BC during the summer to catch the whales or other sea animals during their migration.


California has awesome hiking locations despite its “strip mall” reputation. Check out Lake Tahoe, or Santa Barbara for numerous hiking opportunities.


Everyone should go on a safari at least once in their lives. Kenya is not only a beautiful country, riding through the badlands to see lions, elephants, giraffes and blue wildebeests, it is definitely a dream destination.

In Nepal, it is all about Kathmandu. Just getting there is an adventure, but once you make the trip, don’t miss Boudhanath Stoupa which is the home of Tibetan Buddhism.


You’re probably thinking to yourself… Norway? Seriously? Yes, I am serious. Norway is home to some of the most amazing waterfalls and fjords to explore. If you’d rather take a ‘softer’ trip through Norway, consider a cruise along the coast.


During your summer vacation in Switzerland, try your hand at hiking right up to the Alps and then hang-gliding back down. Talk about a thrilling experience. The views you can see while you hang-glide are absolutely amazing.
